Marlene Gelardi crafted an exceptional itinerary for us, featuring 13 days in Italy and a 2-night stay in Paris.
Our journey began on Sunday, September 7, with a direct flight from Newark to Milan on La Compagnie. The boarding process was smooth, starting at 8 PM, and the flight departed punctually at 8:30 PM. We wholeheartedly recommend La Compagnie; the seating is spacious and comfortable, the crew is incredibly helpful, friendly, and impeccably dressed. Plus, there’s ample space for overhead bags!
Upon arriving in Milan, the Budget rental staff were welcoming, though slightly understaffed. Within 2 hours, our GPS led us to the luxurious Villa Cordevigo Wine Relais in Cavaion Veronese, near Lago di Garda. The nearby castle on the lake is just a short drive away. Our “half-board” reservation, which included breakfast and dinner, was perfect. On Wednesday, we drove 2 hours to the stunning Adler Spa Resort in Ortesei, nestled in the Dolomites. Here, half-board includes breakfast and lunch. The breathtaking views alone are worth the trip. After four nights, we embarked on a 5-hour drive to the Fonteverde Lifestyle and Thermal Resort. Guests have the choice between traditional Italian cuisine or nutritional options. Many guests leisurely moved between the pools, spa, and meals in their hotel bathrobes. We spent a day exploring the history-rich towns of Pienza and Siena.
A short flight whisked us away to Paris for a two-night stay at the Hotel Marignan, conveniently located near the Champs Elysees. We enjoyed a delightful lunch cruise arranged through Open4fun, and then it was time to head to the airport for our luxurious La Compagnie flight back home.
