We're set to fly to Barcelona tomorrow, ahead of boarding RSSC's Navigator for a Mediterranean cruise. I wanted to be sure to send off this note of praise before we leave!
We first worked with Ellen Hyman in 2023, while planning a 30th anniversary trip to Italy. Our children and their partners joined us for an amazing two weeks. In addition to booking exquisite hotels in Rome and Florence and a wonderful villa in the Tuscan countryside, she helped with more intangible recommendations. Her enthusiasm while sharing information about restaurants, museums, shopping, and off-the-beaten-path excursions made us feel like we were in on a secret Italy that not all tourists experience.
When we were considering a Mediterranean cruise for this late summer, we again turned to Ellen. She gave input on the lines we were inquiring about, and made a few other recommendations based on her knowledge of how we travel, the level of service we like, etc. Ellen really listens and knows her clients!
Unfortunately, as you are probably aware, the Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection sailing that we were scheduled to join was abruptly cancelled six weeks before departure! Ellen handled it like the pro she is, working with RCYC to try to accommodate us on another sailing. When that proved fruitless, she set about ensuring that our costs were promptly reimbursed.
Simultaneously, she worked on other vacation plans for us. Did we want to look at an alternate cruise line? Perhaps a city stay? She was full of ideas, with her ultimate goal that we enjoy the time we had set aside for our vacation. We're looking forward to sailing with RSSC, and to the next opportunity we have to plan a trip with Ellen.
In short, Ellen's level of professionalism, knowledge of destinations, and enthusiasm for sharing "extras" that make a trip so memorable are a credit to Travelong, and we are fortunate to work with her on our leisure travel plans.
