Travel has been an integral part of Tara’s life from a young age. She can remember vowing to herself at the age of 5 that travel would be a very important part of her life. Immediately after graduation from Miami University in 2002, Tara studied in China for 6 weeks, exploring Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Dongguan and Hong Kong. She has always had an appreciation for culture, ethnicity and diversity and this trip solidified that drive within her to make her life one of travel and wanderlust.
Tara and her husband have exposed their children to the expansive world in which they live and at ages 11 and 8 they have traveled extensively within the continental U.S., Hawaii, the Caribbean and Europe. When they sit down to discuss family vacations the children have often researched exciting global destinations the family has had many amazing experiences at beautiful, luxurious hotels and resorts.
Most of her clients are young families and many of them do not think that a luxury vacation is within reach; they feel it will either be too expensive or not child-friendly. Tara convinces them that they can stay at the best properties in the world if they have flexibility and the luxury travel industry truly caters to children now more than ever.
In addition to travel, Tara enjoys cooking, baking and explores the specialties of cuisine, wine, fashion and the arts. All of these go somewhat hand in hand, and she is looking forward to what the future in travel has to hold for her, both personally and professionally!
