Walter Long is the owner of Travelong of Summit Inc. and the son of the company’s founder, Robert E. Long Sr. Walt is a graduate of The Pingry School ’63 and Wesleyan University ’67 and served as an Army Reserve Officer from 1966-1973. Walt and his wife Cathy have two sons: Walter Jr. is married to Valerie and they have 3 daughters and live in Helena, MT. Christopher is married to Yuki Murata and living in Santa Fe with their son. Raised in the travel business, Walt has traveled all his life. During his college summers he worked as a tour guide in Europe and since then has traveled all over the world. He is knowledgeable in all aspects of the travel business but specializes in sports related vacations, group travel for schools, churches, and other organizations as well as business meetings, incentive groups, and association meetings. He is a member of the Baltusrol Golf Club, Ekwanok Country Club in Manchester Vt. and The Dorset Field Club Vt. Walt also served as the Mayor of Summit from ’96 to ’03. |
