Eric McFerran is a 35-year resident of Summit with a vacation home on Lake Dunmore, Vermont. He has spent his lifetime career in the travel industry. Originally from New Zealand, he is an expert on Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa and Tahiti and he revisits these countries regularly to inspect accommodations and to experience new activities. Eric is also a South Africa, Great Britain and Hawaii specialist. Recent inspection trips have included South Korea, Philippines, China and the Canadian Rockies. This past year has seen Eric create special interest group itineraries - to attend the Royal wedding in London, Hudson River Valley Mansions along with Cruises to Bermuda and through the Panama Canal. A group VIP tour is underway to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee in London next June. A member of Summit's Old Guard and Christ Church, Eric has also developed an active Bocce Ball playing group at Summit's Recreation Center. Eric's wife, Helen, a dedicated educator who retired from the Peck School, is now working with Eric in the development of special interest group tours and attends to the many individual travel requests from clients and friends.
